It would be helpful to see a bit of info on the business side of it. What it costs the company to provide dialysis. How much is the cost of equipment. What is the cost of the operation. How many advantages, such as business is they make percentag? The advantage is not evil. Without profits, these companies will never have been there and those who have reached the limit of 2 million dollars, for example, not even being around at the moment. But if the profits out of reason, the percentage of being sensible, given that they basically have been granted exemptions by the Government, then some rules on their benefits, such as a utility, it could be warrented. Or, if someone wants to start a non-profit alternative, go for it. Possible investment capital and/or operating costs could be high enough that even the nonprofit will not make much difference in the cost of the end. Not enough info here to tell.
