Microsoft revealed Tuesday one of the key components that will be shipping with Windows platform over the next 8: shop Windows. New software Portal will launch in late February along with the beta Windows 8, selling application rates starting from $ 1.49 to $ 999.99.

For installed base of 500 million-plus users of Windows, Windows stores presents a whole new world of software discovery and consumption. And app developers, a new platform candidate split the difference between wild, woolly Android Market (where people can set up shop, but it gets the attention it can be difficult) and more controlled, heavily monitored the Apple App Store (which is relatively tight policy dev, but large fortune awaiting the successful developers).
