The intensity of the ongoing debate over the President of the Republic has a silver lining that is very encouraging. In particular, competition ensures a much needed discussion mode on federal taxes.
Texas Governor Rick Perry trying a bit of a flat tax, and the positive implications of the actions will be quite something. Not only will this reduce the price of work for most Americans, but it will make tax preparation a snap so many mind fecund work which is a function of the Byzantine tax laws will be released into the lines of more productive employment; the US economy some recipients of a scenario.
All this being said, the flat tax fixed price. Worse, it's the price placed on the work of productive effort. As it stands now, the flat tax would serve as the costs and penalties placed on economy-boosting effort. We are accustomed to being cheated at the various levels at this time, but the idea that the cost of our work we something per federal will be writing us, not to mention that a flat tax ensures that critical few that did most to increase our spirits economy will pay the most to the federal Government under a regime.
So while we shouldn't let the perfect be the enemy near perfection that would be a flat tax, we definitely have to aspire to something better. The nation's most entrepreneurial on earth should not be tax tax its citizens work, let alone most of the most productive.
